I want to extend a warm welcome to all of the St. Katherine Drexel parents and students to my Spanish class. My name is Señora Gutierrez and It is my pleasure to continue serving your children’s language journey at SKD.
The students have Spanish class once a week for about 20 to 50 min which varies in each grade level. Spanish is a worldwide language that is spoken across the country and therefore I hope to establish a foundation for your child to better succeed in an ever demanding world.
Together we will explore language study through interactive games, educational songs and mini projects which they will present in class. My class will challenge your child to engage in our fun language activities and games as they learn the fundamentals of Spanish. They will also learn the importance of learning the second national language in the US.
I am filled with excitement to be teaching at St. Katherine Drexel and embark on a meaningful language journey with your child. Please encourage your child to speak Spanish at home and share with you what we are learning in Spanish class.
Please remember all students are expected to:
Be prepared for class (Spanish binder or notebook, flashcards and writing utensil).
Take initiative to participate in class.
Pay attention & follow classroom rules.
Speak as much Spanish & have fun while learning.
Muchas Gracias,
Señora Gutierrez
